The original style of Creole music from the city of Lima. The traditional side of a genre that few people know about in the contemporary Peruvian music scene. Starting with a birthday celebration, the documentary features interviews and musical performances by a group of veteran Creole singers—most of them over 70 years old—who have incorporated music into their daily lives. They show us how their lives and traditions are intertwined with the music, keeping it alive despite the general public's disinterest and neglect.

DOCUMENTAL “LIMA BRUJA” ES LA MEJOR PELÍCULA PERUANA DEL 2012
El público ha hablado. El documental Lima Bruja, retratos de la música criolla, de Rafael Polar, fue votada como la Mejor película peruana del 2012, en nuestra acostumbrada encuesta anual. Con el 42% de las preferencias, 256 votos en total, “Lima Bruja” se convierte así en el primer documental en ganar esta encuesta. (El 2005, El caudillo pardo de Aldo Salvini quedó en segundo lugar).
