The story follows Alejo, a young Peruvian archaeologist who returns to Canada to reunite with his immigrant family after many years apart. Something happened in the past that has created a distance and coldness between him and his father. As anguish consumes him, Alejo questions whether the life he has is the one he always wanted, to the point of losing touch with reality.
